Women’s Business Council Role Model
Last week I was absolutely delighted to receive notification from the Women’s Business Council (WBC) that they had awarded me the honorary title of ‘Role Model’ and published my story as a case study on their website!
The WBC is supported by the Government Equalities Office and the online review coincided with Global Entrepreneurship week, the aim of which is to inspire people locally, nationally and globally to explore the possibility of starting their own business or expand an existing business. The WBC case studies are a way of sharing good practice and inspiring budding entrepreneurs, and the WBC obviously think that my accomplishments are a fitting demonstration of this!
For those of you who don’t know my story, I started my business in 2003, operating out of a home office. Attendance at an Edge NLP Practitioner course in 2010, really opened my hours to my own potential! With the help of my accountants – Rickaby & Co – and the Government-backed Growth Accelerator scheme, I developed and grew my company and now employ a team of five people operating from offices on Northbridge Road in Berkhamsted.
We now provide website design and development, hosting and maintenance, email marketing services and search engine optimization to businesses, schools and other marketing and design agencies. All websites are responsive, which means they work functionally and visually on any device and size, whether PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
As you can imagine, I’m absolutely delighted that my hard work and perseverance is paying off! We’re growing year on year and I’ve got a great team of people to support me. Thanks for reading my story!
