Fast, new mobile-friendly website uses categorised content, RSS and fresh, modern branding to vastly increase organic traffic for top regional law firm.

The challenge

As one of the south-east’s top regional law firms, Taylor Walton needed a new website to support business growth and showcase its team’s outstanding expertise. Its existing Wordpress website was visually out-dated, slow to use and hard to navigate.

Following a re-branding exercise which included extensive keyword research, the firm asked us to create a fresh and professional mobile-friendly site enriched with SEO features and new optimised content across all pages.

As well as improving speed, security, accessibility and useability, Taylor Walton was keen to maximise the marketing potential of its solicitors’ exceptional professional experience and knowledge.

The solution

Continuing the creative approach set up by the branding agency, we created an innovative, brave and clean design in line with the team’s expectations which centred on a strong home page image and prominent team profiles.

SEO features included a fully searchable ‘Meet the Team’ page, filterable by department, title and location, as well as individual profiles linked to pull-through categorised self-authored expert insight. Late in the project we also added a careers portal with live RSS feed job updates.

A key consideration was the site’s functionality, in particular simple user journeys with minimal click-throughs and ease of site maintenance, such as a simple way to update live jobs in one place.

Throughout the design process, we maintained a very close working with the Taylor Walton team, including providing solutions and detailed visualisations to address changing requirements and make sure the large project was completed on time and within budget.

The results

Taylor Walton’s new fast and mobile-friendly website perfectly reflects the firm’s professional image and brings personality and life to its corporate brand.

Within days of launch, the client reports upwards of 10,000 views, easily outstripping its previous site and providing a benchmark with which to track and further develop SEO. Accessibility and security are also firmly up-to-date and will be regularly monitored to ensure they remain this way.

Anecdotal feedback from internal and external clients indicates 100% satisfaction with the new site.

A quick back-and-forth at the end of the project enabled Indigo Tree and the client to work in a tight, collaborative way to finalise the website and address any concerns and changes quickly, meeting the launch date.
