The challenge

My Mustard is a pay-per-click marketing agency based in Hertfordshire. Their previous website wasn’t a good shop window for their business and they wanted a creative new, fast and easily-navigable WordPress site to reflect their brand and expertise. They knew exactly how their new site should look but weren’t sure how to do it without affecting their great SEO. A priority was that it had to be accessible and easy for the team to update themselves.

The solution

As specialists in online advertising, it is vital the new My Mustard website exemplifies the value they give their clients. Working closely with their in-house graphic designer and copywriter over four months, we built a site that is as creative and unique as it is informative and user-friendly. It is also maximised for sales lead conversions.

The home page was kept visually simple and free of text clutter, but with subtly moving elements as you click through to supporting pages. For example, the mouse arrow changes colours on screen. To make sure the home page worked equally well on mobile devices, we devised a solution which optimises the user experience on mobile devices without detracting from the quirky design.

For the best user experience, we created a consistent template for the inner pages, which made navigating between pages seamless.

Behind the scenes, the intuitive content management system lets the My Mustard team constantly update the site with fresh new content, streaming their Twitter feed every 15 minutes.
