A well-ranking website helped young accountancy firm Baranov Associates connect with clients and reach near capacity in just 18 months.
The challenge
Baranov Associates is a small Cumbrian accountancy firm which helps businesses drive growth. Owners Liz and Chris Baranov wanted a website to support their vision. With an established local reputation as accountants, it was important that previous clients could quickly recognise them. They needed a website to present their experienced, friendly business. They also wanted to share professional insights and up-to-date tax advice with their clients.
The solution
Liz and Chris came to us with a blank canvas, but a vision for a clean, bright and welcoming site which authentically reflected their business. We advised on the best way to define and construct the messaging, and a site map for the best user experience.
Tax rules are changing constantly, and potential Baranov clients are smart customers. They check out the quality of technical information and useful advice before they buy. We created ways for the Baranovs to share up-to-date information and professional insights to attract new customers.
A client hub gathers together a range of free resources along with latest videos. The Baranovs share further expertise via a blog on the website’s filterable News page. This page also includes curated latest business news and useful online tools .
The regular addition of new information to the site is great for the site’s Google rankings. We took measures to make sure it wasn’t unfairly penalised by Google for featuring duplicate content from two external feeds.
Development coincided with the Autumn budget – an important landmark in the financial calendar where potential clients look for advice. To make sure Baranov Associates could make the most of this opportunity, we launched a temporary holding page. This gave them a professional online presence to support their marketing communications.
